Sustaining Engineer II

VSI is seeking a Sustaining Engineer II to join our Mechanical R&D group. This newly-created growth position will play a key role in handling design and process alterations of existing products, and managing engineering requirements for distributed products. If you are someone who enjoys spending hands-on time in a mechanical lab environment and gaining technical expertise on a wide variety of new products, all while working across an organization to achieve goals, we would love to hear from you.
You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop in your career as a Sustaining Engineer by being responsible for:
  • Evaluating design and/or process alterations to existing products
  • Working with suppliers to ensure distributed products meet user requirements 
  • Building characterization units and evaluating their functionality
  • Developing test methods and/or applying existing test methods
  • Managing documentation, e.g. print updates and test reports
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering discipline
  • Three years of med device engineering experience
  • Understanding of design and documentation processes for mechanical medical
  • Experience in catheter construction
  • Experience in development and execution of test methods 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree strongly preferred
