Design Assurance Technical Writer II

VSI is seeking a Technical Writer to join our Design Assurance team. In this role you will be working directly with DA Engineers and Management to create and execute a wide-range of DA deliverables, as well as identify and address procedural and process documentation gaps for the department. If you are a self-motivated, technically-minded individual with sound technical writing abilities, we would love to hear from you.
 
You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop in your career as a Design Assurance Technical Writer by being responsible for:
 
  • Creating and executing Design Assurance new product development and/or sustaining documentation – including analysis for design verification, design validation, risk management, change impact assessment, CAPA, clinical documentation, and other technical writing outputs as requested
  • Working with management to identify and fill procedural and/or process documentation gaps for the group and execute SOPs, protocols or other related documentation as needed
  • Identifying, proposing, and implementing documentation and quality system  efficiency improvements
  • Optimizing processes and templated for improved efficiency of execution
  • Accurately capturing technical information and clearly explaining analysis and conclusions
     
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Two years of recent, related experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 14971
  • Understanding of basic quality engineering, regulatory, and quality systems principles
  • Basic understanding of product development process and risk management
  • Excellent written communication skills, solid quantitative and qualitative analytical reasoning skills, and high attention to detail
  • Sound judgement in planning and executing projects
  • Ability to grasp highly technical information and strong interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical individuals across the organization
