Calibration Technician

Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota, United States

VSI is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Quality Control team. In this position you will be responsible for the routine calibration of basic timers, pressure gauges and a variety of other tools and equipment, and you will also contribute significantly to maintaining the calibration tracking and scheduling system. If you are someone who is technically inclined and will get the job done with a sense of urgency, we would love to hear from you.
 
 
 
You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop in your career as a Calibration Technician by being responsible for:
 
  • Timely completion of basic calibration activities
  • Maintaining an effective and efficient calibration management system
  • Communicating with calibration vendors effectively and regularly as needed
  • Acting as a technical resource to other departments for measurement equipment and calibration test methods
 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of recent, relevant calibration experience in the med device industry
  • Ability to execute low to medium complexity equipment calibration with little to no direction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an ability to learn and understand new software systems quickly
 
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Two year technical degree in a scientific discipline
  • Recent, relevant experience with medium to high complexity calibration within the med device industry
