VSI is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This individual will be the Manufacturing Engineering subject matter expert for injection molding technologies. If you are someone who is best described as a go-to resource for injection molding and possess a willingness to dive into technical details, take initiative and to adapt and learn, we would love to hear from you.
You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop in your career as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer by being responsible for:
  • Achieving labor minutes per unit and scrap dollar per unit targets while sustaining maximum uptime of specified manufacturing lines to meet production demand
  • Identifying, executing and completing projects that improve quality, increase capacity, reduce scrap and reduce cost of goods
  • Investigating manufacturing engineering inefficiencies
  • Participating in timely disposition of non-conformances, root cause investigations, and CAPA actions related to materials, methods, operators, equipment and manufacturing environment
  • Performing detailed time studies and spending significant time observing the production line, equipment, and product flow
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Engineering or physical sciences
  • Five years of recent, relevant engineering experience in medical device manufacturing environment
  • Two years of recent, relevant experience with injection molding
  • Ability to resolve problems and interpret complex mechanical or electro-technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction and provide direction/mentor Technicians and other Engineers
