Sr. Quality Inspection Specialist

VSI is seeking a Sr. Quality Inspection Specialist to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for the inspection and testing of life saving medical devices in the production process for a variety of requirements such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical or chemical characteristics. If you are a critical thinker and active listener with good time management skills, we would love to hear from you as we build our team.
You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop in your career as a Sr. Quality Inspection Specialist by being responsible for:
  • Generation and implementation of measurement techniques, recipes and output data for high level measurement equipment (e.g. Micro-Vu tool scopes, laser micrometers, etc.)
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas
  • Conducting inspections and tests as assigned
  • Recommending modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within full capability of the inspection equipment
  • Setting up and performing destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three years of recent, relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of quality related tools including, but not limited to, SPC, AQP, DOE, Quality Systems and Lean Six Sigma
  • Ability to design and execute measurement method analysis, such as MSA/GRR
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs and solid database entry and reporting skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • An analytical approach to problem solving
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Six Sigma Certificate
