Manufacturing Engineering Technician

VSI is seeking a Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering group. In this role you will provide technical support for specified product lines to ensure efficient line performance and act proactively to address line deficiencies. If you are someone who is a self-starter that will get the job done with a sense of urgency, we would love to hear from you as we build our team.
 
You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop in your career as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician by being responsible for:
 
  • Ensuring efficient and smooth production on runner lines by preventing line problems through proactive identification and resolution of production line deficiencies
  • Reduction of production line scrap
  • Assisting Engineers by troubleshooting and solving production line problems
  • Reviewing and updating production documentation (processes and travelers) to reflect best practice techniques and optimize ease of use for Operators
     
 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Two year degree in a related technical discipline
  • Two years of recent, relevant experience
  • Candidates with no related work experience will be considered with proof of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with and measure parts under a microscope
  • Ability to read and interpret measurement instrumentation
